An Anniversary date at a Dutch castle: Kasteel de Haar
28.07.2026 We had been discussing for quite some time the day before about where to celebrate our "first meet" anniversary. Finally, my husband suggested visiting a castle and its gardens. However, having seen plenty of castles in Europe, I wasn't entirely convinced. Instead, I had envisioned a charming farm with sheep on a faraway island. When the day arrived, we wrapped up lunch and realized it was already too late to make it to the island. So a split-second decision later,

A day at a Plant nursery: Summer flowers, Hanging vines, and Potting
27.06.2026 Some weekends don't need much planning. All they need is the feeling that your home could use a little more green. That was exactly how this day started. Just two weeks previously, we had gone on a similar ex

Between the canals of Delft
12.04.2026 After a quick breakfast of Kerala "Puttu" paired with white chickpeas, made with coconut and aromatic spices, ground in a mixer that once travelled from India, we set off to visit our neighboring town - Delft. Delft was peaceful. In some alleys so quiet, I wondered how life unfolds here without the familiar humdrum of daily human activity, so central to our existence as social beings. Yet it was beautiful. The day was as sunny as far as tourists' wishes go. We vi
