A golden day with Blooming Tulips

Netherlands has always held a special charm, one filled with the allure of green pastures dotted with sheep and goat, and when the right season arrives, endless fields of tulips fluttering beneath the sun, waiting quietly to be harvested
And so, one fine day, when some guests were in town and tulip season was in full bloom, we decided to take out our car and go on an expedition to see these much-admired blooms.
Just two weeks previously, we had gone on a similar excursion, but it was too soon; it asked us to be patient, and patient we were. For our home was close, and time was unlimited - a quiet luxury reserved for those who live in the land itself. The luxury of choosing which sunny day is best to see a much coveted view. The same we ourselves experience when we visit foreign lands, in hope of the perfect clouds, the perfect sun, and the perfect (lack of) rain.
And there they stood - an ocean of myriad colors for all to witness. It was the 18th of April; we had found the right weekend, where the flowers were as open as a window on a breezy day, gently trembling in the wind. The first field we stopped at was filled with fiery oranges and hot pinks and dove whites like colors of a painting that was already complete, and the artist visibly impressed with his own work.
After several pictures, we jumped to a field right opposite the first one, with a windmill in the background, equally stunning with the backdrop it so generously provided to us.
We then set off to explore some more, but like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, we were spoiled for choice. After filling up our phones with some more colors and combinations, we finally decided to call it a day.
